the wings of a woman.
i remember climbing into the van after blind auditions and being alone with my mom and little brother Cooper for the first time that day. i was in disbelief of what just happened. and she just looked and me and said “i told you”. in that moment i realized that i would have never started playing piano. never KEPT playing piano. never moved to Nashville. never started writing songs. never tried out for the Voice. without that voice SHE put in my head way back when that said “you are worth it”.
so i came back to nashville and wrote this song with my friend Victoria Banks.
love & lyrics.
All wide-eyed and crazy.
